Sal Canciello

Sal is a founding principal of S3 Design, and has 30 years of experience in the planning and design of facilities on college and university campuses. He is an award-winning designer with expertise focused on athletics and recreational projects. Central to his work is the execution of projects within the master plan and campus context. He has demonstrated design leadership in meeting project objectives and goals. Sal regularly participates in conferences as a presenter and panel speaker, and has received several awards including an academic fellowship, Henry Adams Certificate and James Britton prize for best thesis design. He is typically involved throughout the project and his collaborative, hands-on approach assures stakeholder input will be a valued part of the design process.

Bryan is a founding principal of S3 Design, and an interior designer with 30 years of professional experience working with a variety of corporate and institutional clients. He has been recognized for expertise in the design and planning of fitness centers and other sports and recreation facilities. His focus is on project leadership and encompasses all phases of design from initial schematic through owner occupancy. Bryan has an extensive understanding of functional relationships, facility flow, performance of materials and finishes. His leadership provides the team with a design approach centered on the creation of a quality user experience that balances and integrates technical and aesthetic priorities.

As a Senior Project Designer with over 15 years of experience, Steve graduated with his Masters in 2005 from Northeastern University. He has been a member of the S3 Design team for the past 7+ years leading a variety of fitness projects for clients such as New York Sports Club and Equinox Sports Clubs. In addition to fitness design, Steve has been part of S3 Design’s Athletics Master Planning growth for Division II & III schools. His design skills and understanding of clients’ goals, blended with his love of sports, provide a balanced insight into user’s needs in achieving a successful project. Prior to S3 Design, Steve was part of an award-winning team for the Northeastern University Veterans Memorial competition.

Willa has over ten years of experience in the design industry. As a licensed interior designer, she brings a detail-oriented and animated design aesthetic. Her previous experience in hospitality and senior living projects gives her a unique perspective that she is able to bring to any project. She enjoys working on all aspects of a project, from conception to construction documents, furniture, finishes, and 3D renderings. Willa is a designer capable of thriving in both the technical and artistic facets of a project, working seamlessly with both colleagues and clients.

As the Marketing Coordinator for S3 Design, Patricia brings almost 30 years of experience as a Freelance Graphic Designer. She has a demonstrated history of working in the design industry with skills in Graphics, Logo Design, Typography, and Adobe Creative Suite. She has also used her graphic skills over the years to assist non-profits with their marketing needs. Patricia is a strong arts and design professional with a Bachelor’s Degree focused in Graphic/Studio Arts from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Prior to joining S3, Patricia used her skills to serve as Church Coordinator of The Lutheran Church of the Savior and Brand Coordinator for the Jeff Dahlke for Congress campaign as well as volunteering as VP of Communications for the Boston-based non-profit, Foundation for Faces of Children.

Kevin has 15+ years of experience in the A/E/C industry. His wide-ranging background covers real estate & development, construction management, and design and planning in various market sectors of architecture (Residential, Hospitality, Health & Wellness, Themed Entertainment, Higher Education, Government, Dept of Defense). All these tools allow him to have a unique lens on a project and offer a well-rounded approach which incorporates not only the architecture and engineering; but also provides for an understanding and implementation of a client’s intent and their process with their stakeholders. The ability to control and forecast these factors assists with delivering a successful project.

Throughout his career, Orlando has cultivated experience in architectural design for a variety of project types. Serving in a wide number of roles, he has developed extensive business analysis skills, as well as proven ability to establish and grow long-term relationships in a multicultural global environment. He has been responsible for the design, coordination, management, construction administration, project control, and inspection of a variety of vertical and horizontal project types, including apartment buildings, shopping centers, commercial buildings, multi-national restaurants, education facilities, airport facilities, government sport complex facilities, and federal projects which have required US security clearance.

With 7+ years of professional experience, Ana recently joined our Florida design team. Her imagination and conceptualization of innovative ideas balance functionality, aesthetics and sustainability in architectural design. She is trained for supervising and executing work following established deadlines and is always looking for efficient use of resources for the optimization of time. Her philosophy is that the design is not for the architect or the builder, but for the people who will inhabit the space, so meeting all their needs is crucial for the success of the project. It is important to take into that an environmental design goes hand in hand with the mind, body, and emotions in addition to being functional.

After earning her degree in architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design, where she served as the head Teacher Assistant for three years, she started her career in commercial and custom-home design. She works comfortably in a collaborative environment and coordinates closely with consultants. Fawz speaks five different languages, reflecting her deep curiosity about the world and her commitment to continual growth.
