With over 100 years of history, Cushing Academy, a co-ed college preparatory boarding and day school in Ashburnham, MA, has a legacy worth celebrating. The school engaged S3 Design to conceptualize and craft graphics for the Iorio Arena, home to their ice hockey teams, figure skating, and recreational skating programs. However, they faced a significant challenge: an abundance of success. The lobby and concourse were overflowing with commemorative photos, alumni achievements, and a continuous addition of current team snapshots. The task was to enhance, organize, and visually modernize the branding in the interior of the facility. S3 designed an environmental graphics package that streamlined information while also honoring and highlighting the CA Penguin legacy, current athletes, and stories. The executed items included large-scale graphics, vinyl window wraps, interchangeable banner accolades, and a dimensional Hall of Fame.
