After a fire that devastated Cedardale Health and Fitness, the Veasey family hired S3 Design to design their new facility. Their goal was to rebuild a new state-of-the-art facility that would meet the needs of their members for the next 40 years. While private, the health club has been a mainstay in the Haverhill community for decades.

The facility hosts community events and has a robust senior fitness and youth sports program. The new club design has an industrial aesthetic that accentuates the steel structure and incorporates more industrial materials. In certain areas such as the locker rooms, the Mind/Body studio and the café, more refined finishes accentuate the industrial club.

The design of the new facility allows plenty of natural light into the fitness floors, gymnasium, running track, pool and Mind/Body studio. The lifestyle lounge area has a large skylight that allows light to reach deep into the building year-round, reducing energy costs. The club is laid out so that as members travel to the different program spaces, they visually see the majority of what the club offers. This not only orients club members, but it also allows the sales staff to showcase multiple parts of the club to potential members.
